    Are you interested in making Aliyah now during these interesting times? If you have never made Aliyah before, if either of your parents is Israeli and you were born outside of Israel, or if you were born in Israel but left Israel before you were 14 years old—then read on!
     
    Make sure you read everything beforeyou proceed!
     
    The first step in the process is to complete and submit your application on the Nefesh B’Nefesh website: www.nbn.org.il.
     
    Once you submit the completed application you will see a list of original documentation that you need to collect and then upload to your Aliyah file. The basic documentation
    is:
    1. Birth certificate with a state apostille. The state apostille is an international notary that Israel
    requires on all legal documents issued outside of Israel. To get the apostille, contact the
    Secretary of State office in the state from which the document was issued.
    2. Current Passport
    3. Current Israeli Passport NOTE: only for those born in Israel OR born outside of Israel to 1 or
    both Israeli parents
    4. Proof of Judaism letter The letter must be on original letterhead, ink-signed and dated. It
    cannot be a scanned or emailed copy
    5. Waiver of Confidentiality form
    6. Health Declaration form (self-report)
    7. Entry/Exit form listing all the times you entered/exited Israel in the last 7 years. For those born
    in Israel there are additional entry/exit requirements.
    8. Proof of living outside of Israel for the last 7 years. For those born in Israel there are additional
    proof of living outside of Israel requirements
    9. Law of Return Restrictions Affidavit form
    10. FBI Background Check with federal apostille for any family member 14 years and older. This
    apostille must be obtained in Washington DC through the State Department only.
    If you are currently married, divorced, or widowed, there is additional documentation needed
    You will then be ready for your interview/document review. When all documentation is complete, your
    file will be submitted to the Jewish Agency Eligibility Department in Jerusalem for review. If approved
    you will then receive a letter stating your approval with additional directions for the next steps to get
    your Aliyah visa and flight information.
